Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

A very important concept to remember when studying scripture is to "read scripture in light of scripture." Another words, make sure you don't take any individual scripture verse out of context, but allow other scripture verses to illuminate it.

In the ongoing debate on the use of instruments in Christian worship, I have established in my book that instruments are mentioned in heavenly worship in the book of Revelation (specifically, trumpets and harps). Some denominations or churches prohibit instruments in worship, because they feel strongly that they are not mentioned in the context of worship anywhere in the New Testament, or at least in the worship of the New Testament church.

Realizing that instruments are mentioned in the context of worship in heaven, and then remembering a very familiar portion of the Lord's Prayer (Matt. 6:10), "Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven," the inference is clear. God's will is clearly instrumental worship in heaven, and Jesus would have us pray that that same will be done on earth.
